BEGINNING DRUM LESSONS
At BC Music you will learn how to play drums in a dynamic way that sets the standard of learning for you as the student day one. You will learn how to read drum music as well as holding your sticks to tuning your drum kit right from the beginning. Timing is everything and that is especially true when learning to be a drummer. Learning to count and understanding the difference between note values as well as practice habits that increase your pace of learning. At BC Music you will learn how to control your sound, speed, dynamics and your tempo. We aim to help prepare you to play with others and rise to a greater level of performance and excellence in timing and technique. At BC Music we understand the importance of hearing the beat and knowing the beat but here we aim to have you feel the beat. If you feel it, they feel it and that marks a great foundation in learning to not just be a good drummer but to become a GREAT Drummer!
ADVANCED DRUM LESSONS
Taking what you have already gained from a solid foundation and building on to that with greater momentum is what its all about. This happens as you begin to play and feed off of others in creativity and atmospheric environments. Playing with others is key to your advancement as a drummer and musician. Learning to play different styles and genres as well as practicing parts in a song plays a major role in your development. It is here where you really begin to shine a rise to greater abilities and even write your own fills, patterns, and rhythms. At BC Music we aim to cultivate this environment and give you a dynamic experience that births a passion to keep growing and a hunger for more. Giving you the opportunity to become a well rounded musician and a very versed drummer helps you to be prepared for any musical situation live, in the studio or just jam sessions with your friends.
